On October 18, the senior class 
sponsored the Senior Reception 
to the Faculty, held at it's new 
location, Crocker Field. There were 
moonwalks, food donated by 
Choff's, football, soccer, and 
perfomances by 'Stash'. The 
members of 'Stash' include seniors 
Ryan Bourque, Tim O'Brien, 
Jeremy Chabot, ErikBabineau, and 
Dan Cormier.

slow, limping out to a 1-4 
record, Coach Cosenza made a 
promise to his team. "If we 
play as well as we did tonight 
(against Brockton), we will not 
lose another game", and they

over Leominster, Coach led 
his team to a 7-4 record.

In her third \car as a cheerleader. Julie 
led her squad into competition against 
the best in the state For the first time 
in a long while. FHS not only beat 
Leominster, but went on to do well 10 
the State Finals. 

In the Regional Championships. Julie 
ted the Red and Gray onto the mat wid 
smiles and high hopes. Her fellow 
teammates didn't let her down in her 
last year at FHS- Placing second in t 
competition qualified them for states, 
where. e\en though they didn't place,

"It's been a geat ride and we 
made excellent progress." In 
just his first year as coach of the 
girls basketball team. Coach 
Grutchfield led his girls all the 
way into the playoffs. On top of 
that, they came in second in the 
league standings, only to

Chris Woods 

The 1999-2000 boys' indoor 
track team concluded one of it's 
finest seasons in the school's 
history. The Raiders finished 
unbeaten in dual meets at 5-0-1 
and captured it's second consecu- 
tive Mid-Wach A Relay Champi- 
onship, along with their second 
straight League Championship. 
To top it all off, our boys won the 
school's first ever district 
championship, after 21 years of 
existence. They not only won the 
districts, but they beat defending 
champion, St. John's. 92-54. St. 
John's placed second.

The Fitchburg High School Girls 
Indoor Track Team completed one of 
it's most successful seasons of the 
past seven years. The team finished 
with an overall record of four wins 
and two losses. One of the four wins 
was a victory over Shrewsbury, 
which was the first time that our girls 
team has beaten Shrewsbury. 

Special thanks to seniors Erin 
Buckley and Brandy Green for 
leading this years team to victory.

"When all else goes astray, let 
cooler heads prevail." 

The 99-00 hockey season can be 
best characterized as a learning 
experience. The road was long and 
full of pitfalls, but we never stopped 
scrapping. 

Two years ago, FHS was fortu- 
nate enough to have the return of 
Coach Chalifoux after a short stint at 
another local school. Since his 
return to the hockey rink, things 
have been on the uprise, and will 
soon be in championship form. We 
are all proud of the hockey team and 
Coach Chalifoux for putting forth 
their best effort in this campaign.

The Boulder is an annual publica- 
tion of the yearbook staff of Fitchburg 
High School. Fitchburg Massachusetts. 
It was distributed in May 2000 and prin- 
ted by Jostens Publishing Company at 
Winston-Salem. NC. There were 200 Books 
printed. The cover artwork was conceived 
by the entire yearbook staff and created by 
class member Martin Hayward, while 
produced at the Jostens plant. All pages 
are printed on #80 glossy paper. The esti- 
mated cost of production is $ 1 5,000.00: 
The Boulder is a self-supporting institution, 
raising all funds for production. The cost of 
the book was $50.00

301 life-size, fiberglass cows decorated by local

In July, John F. Kennedy Jr., 38, his wife, Carolyn
